Our Philosophy
"...as anybody who trains at PTA will know, teamwork is one of the most important factors in a player's success.
" Ceri Rogers - Blue Belt
TKD represents the Korean Art of Combat.
Practiced for over 2000 years it has been recognized as an Olympic Sport since 1988.
The utilisation of both bare hands and feet TKD is the most scientific and dynamic of the martial arts.
With fast striking and counterdefensive movements perfection is a necessity to which all can only really
be achieved from the most dedicated and well trained fighter.
The co-ordination of both hands and feet on the offensive coupled with the many defensive movements
requires split second reaction times all rigorously perfected with the correct coaching week in,
week out, Everyone involved can rally benefit from the disciplines that are required to achieve the art of TKD.
TKD is not solely concerned with the art of fighting. Of much more importance to the art is the mental,
physical and spiritual attributes, all derived from fully embracing the TKD philosophy. When under instruction
from Master Behrooz his criteria is to produce many more peaceful, and self-reliant TKD students.
Students who are willing to pursue the art into more purposeful self attributes involving stability, stamina,
timing and patience. In master Behrooz's words, "TKD is the art of patience along with power,
elegance, sacrifice and honour, All of these involve good, solid team work from all my students."
