Job Title: University Teacher Applied
Languages with specialism in Localisation & Language
Technologies Faculty: Faculty of Arts and Humanities
Department: Applied Languages Section, School of Modern
Languages and Linguistics.
Successful applicants will have proven
skills and experience in all the above areas. They will be
committed to high quality teaching, including the teaching
of language, and to excellence in teaching-related research.
Applicants should also have or be working towards a PhD in a
relevant subject area (or have equivalent experience).
It is anticipated Interviews for this post will take place
between 10th-18th October 2011.

Languages for All, a unit within
the Department of Language & Linguistic Science, is seeking to
recruit a Deputy Director.
You will work closely with the Director, supervising a team of 4
teaching fellows and 32 part time tutors. You will contribute
both to the high-quality teaching of LFA and to the running of
LFA through engagement with quality assurance processes. You
will also be required to support and contribute to the medium
and long term planning of LFA’s activities.
You will have a relevant higher degree and teaching
qualification, together with an extensive knowledge and
understanding of Higher Education including financial and
resource management systems.
You will be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to
manage and motivate a team and will demonstrate a willingness to
undertake a wide range of tasks in a busy and stimulating
environment. |
